When you use Steam City, we access your public Steam profile data through Valve's Web API. This includes your display name, avatar, game list, and playtime statistics. We only access data that you have set to public in your Steam privacy settings.
Your data is used to generate your 3D city visualization, calculate statistics (including library value via SteamSpy pricing data), and display your profile in the world city and leaderboards. We store your Steam ID, display name, avatar URL, aggregated game statistics, and computed library value in our database.
The "Roast My Library" feature sends your game statistics (game names, playtime, and shame score) to Google Gemini to generate personalized roasts. No personal identifiers beyond your display name are sent. Roasts are generated on-demand and not stored.
We use a single session cookie (steam_session) to keep you logged in after authenticating via Steam OpenID. This cookie is HTTP-only and expires after 7 days. We also use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics.
Your profile data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL). We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
Steam City displays in-world advertisements (building posters, billboards, screens, zeppelin) that are managed via our database. Ad images are proxied through our servers. Clicking an ad opens the advertiser's link in a new tab.
You can set your Steam profile to private at any time to prevent future data access. To request deletion of stored data, contact us at the email below.
